用餐时打开餐巾，沿对角线对折，并将开口朝内置于膝上，用的时候打开用里面一层来轻擦嘴边，再折好，这样避免别人看到擦过的痕迹，不要将餐巾一角压在盘子下面，也不要塞在领口（baby除外）～暂时离开座位可将餐巾折叠好放在椅子上，用餐完毕把用过的餐巾放在餐具的左边。

1、Whenarriving at a western restaurant, you are supposed to be seated with theguidance of the waiters.

西餐第一道菜叫做开胃菜：

the starter, also known as the appetizer, is the first dish in the west. The appetizer is either cold or hot, including caviar(鱼子酱), mashed potatoes(马铃薯泥),provencale scallop(普罗旺斯鲜贝),stuffed seafood in puff pastry(海鲜小酥盒) andso on.

Soup can be broadly divided into the clear soup, creamsoup, vegetable soup and cold soup(清汤、奶油汤、蔬菜汤和冷汤).  另外，喝汤有喝汤的礼仪，分为法式和英式。英式是从里向外地舀汤，法式是从外向里。还有一个细节需要注意，就是汤勺，无论是否喝完了汤，这个汤勺永远不能放在汤碗里，而是要放在汤碗下的碟子里。

Dishes with meat and poultry are the main course. 主菜一般以牛肉或牛排为主。吃一口切一口，千万不要三下五除二把食物全部切好。如果是小羊排这种带骨的食物，也不要用手拿着吃。

主菜之后的第四道菜是甜点，一般包括pudding、icecream、cheese and fruit等等。甜点的餐具在盘子的前面，所以不要拿盘子前面的餐具来吃菜或喝汤，如果盘子前面没有餐具，那说明甜点餐具将随着甜点一起上。

饮品一般包括coffee、icedcoffee、white coffee、black coffee、black tea、red wine、brandy、whisky、vodka。咖啡的勺子不能放在咖啡杯中，要放在咖啡碟里。放下杯子的时候可以用尾指在盘子和杯子之间缓冲一下以免发出声音。
